MADE{in}moiselle: [Travels]: A weekend in Liverpool

Hace dos semanas viajé hasta Liverpool con una amiga para disfrutar un fin de semana de Beatlemanía! Soy una fan declarada del grupo de Liverpool y qué mejor lugar para poder disfrutar de su historia y de su música, que en su ciudad y durante el fin de semana de la Internacional BeatleWeek. En todos los bares había música en directo y no había quien no llevara camisetas del cuarteto o no bailara y cantara sus canciones: todo muy freak pero a la vez muy emocionante. ¡Repetiría con los ojos cerrados! Pero no solo disfrutamos de The Beatles, también aprovechamos para conocer la ciudad. Hay quien la califica de ciudad gris e industrial pero yo no tuve esa impresión. Visitamos los museos, paseamos por el centro y conocimos el Albert Dock, donde los antiguos y reformados muelles de la ciudad comparten espacio con la arquitectura moderna: pura poesía fotográfica!

Two weeks ago, I travelled to Liverpool with my friend Monica to enjoy a Beatlemaniac weekend! I'm a huge fan of the Liverpool band and what better to enjoy their history and their music in their city and during the International BeatleWeek. All the bars in the city was full of live covers of the Beatles from all over the world. And everybody was wearing the Beatles shirts and dancing and singing their music: all very freak and also very exciting. I would go again, no doubt! But we not only enjoyed The Beatles part, we also found time to know the city. Some said that is grey and industrial but I did not have that impression. We visited the museums, walked through the central of Liverpool and the Albert Dock, where the ancient and refurbished city docks share space with modern architecture: pure photographic poetry!
